About this collection

Hand-crafted daily in Los Angeles

Flowers Safe for Cats: 15 designs from $99 with same-day delivery across Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and Ventura County. Order by 4:30 PM and the florists at our Downtown LA or Newbury Park studio arrange it the same day, text you a photo before it leaves, and deliver between 12 and 8 PM. Popular picks: Heart Box, Nella, Spring bouquet.

Lilies are the most dangerous flower for a cat: every part of the plant, including pollen brushed onto fur and the vase water, can cause kidney failure. Nothing here contains lilies, and we also leave out tulips, hydrangea, daffodils, chrysanthemums, eucalyptus and baby's breath. Instead, every arrangement is built only from non-toxic flowers such as roses, orchids, sunflowers, gerbera daisies, snapdragons, freesia, alstroemeria, stock, statice, celosia and zinnias, designed in our Downtown LA studio on the day of delivery and delivered across Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire. Order by 4:30 PM for same-day delivery.

Prices start at $79, and most designs come in several sizes. Heart Box, Nella and Spring bouquet are the most ordered. Non-toxic means a bite will not poison your cat, but chewed stems can still cause vomiting, so keep the vase out of reach and change the water often. Before the arrangement leaves the studio we text you a photo of the finished piece, then real-time tracking. Dog owners should see flowers safe for dogs; roses and orchids are cat-safe too, so when ordering from our roses or orchids collections, ask for no eucalyptus or baby's breath.

What cut flowers are non-toxic to cats?

Roses, orchids, sunflowers, gerbera daisies, snapdragons, freesia, alstroemeria, stock, statice, celosia and zinnias are on the ASPCA's non-toxic list for cats, and every bouquet in this collection is made only from these. Even so, cats that chew stems or leaves can get an upset stomach, so keep the arrangement where your cat does not go.

What cut flowers are toxic to cats?

Lilies first, and by a wide margin: true lilies and daylilies can cause kidney failure in cats from pollen, leaves or vase water. Also avoid tulips, hydrangea, daffodils, chrysanthemums and eucalyptus; baby's breath is mildly toxic and can cause vomiting. None of these appear in this collection. If your cat has chewed a lily, see a vet immediately.

Is it safe to have dried flowers in a home with cats?

Only if the varieties themselves are non-toxic. A dried flower keeps the same toxins it had fresh, so dried lilies, hydrangea or eucalyptus remain dangerous, and cats are drawn to crunchy stems that can splinter in the mouth or gut. Stick to dried roses or statice, and keep them on a shelf the cat does not use.

What should I do if my cat eats a flower from the bouquet?

For the flowers in this collection, a nibble is unlikely to cause more than mild stomach upset; remove the arrangement, offer water and watch for vomiting or lethargy. If you are unsure what the flower was, or if it might have been a lily, call your veterinarian or an animal poison control line immediately and bring a photo or a stem with you.

Can you deliver cat-safe flowers today in Los Angeles?

Yes. Order by 4:30 PM and the bouquet is designed and delivered the same day, seven days a week, across LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire. Delivery is calculated by address at checkout, typically $20 to $35; pickup at our Downtown LA studio is free.

Can I see the flowers before they are delivered?

Yes. We text the purchaser a photo of the finished bouquet before it leaves the studio, then real-time courier tracking. The hand-written card message is free, and you can add macarons, chocolates, a teddy bear or balloons for the humans; keep the treats away from the cat.

Is the vase water dangerous for cats?

With lilies, yes, which is one reason they are excluded here. With the non-toxic flowers we use, the water itself is not poisonous, but standing vase water grows bacteria that can upset a cat's stomach. Change it every two days and choose a heavy vase the cat cannot tip or drink from.

How do I keep the flowers fresh and away from the cat?

Trim the stems, use clean water and keep the arrangement in a cool spot; most last five to seven days. Cats treat anything on a table as fair game, so a closed room or a high cabinet works better than a shelf they can jump to. A flower box is easier to tuck away than a tall vase; see our flower boxes.
